We made it to D.C. safe and sound today! We all met at CPCC at 6am this morning, loaded the 15 passenger van and got on the road... only to find out a few minutes down the road that we left the money in the office. We arrived in D.C. around 2:30pm, checked into our hotel and set out for some free time and site seeing before dinner.
Some of the group headed to Georgetown to shop and take in the cultural neighborhood, some went to the Cathedral and others visited the Museum of American History. Pictures will be up soon!
We ended the day with a group dinner at the Paper Moon Italian Restaurant in Georgetown. It was a nice ending to the day!
What does tomorrow have in store for us??? Well, we are headed to Capitol Area Food Bank for our first service project! Then heading to the Holocaust Museum!!!

Alternative Spring Break (ASB) is a low-cost service trip that provides students with an opportunity to participate in meaningful service activities, learn more about community issues, and have fun. In the past, students have traveled to Charleston, Atlanta, Wilmington, and Sumter, SC. For 2010, the students will be traveling to Washington, DC for the break.
