We made it to D.C. safe and sound today! We all met at CPCC at 6am this morning, loaded the 15 passenger van and got on the road... only to find out a few minutes down the road that we left the money in the office. We arrived in D.C. around 2:30pm, checked into our hotel and set out for some free time and site seeing before dinner.
Some of the group headed to Georgetown to shop and take in the cultural neighborhood, some went to the Cathedral and others visited the Museum of American History. Pictures will be up soon!
We ended the day with a group dinner at the Paper Moon Italian Restaurant in Georgetown. It was a nice ending to the day!
What does tomorrow have in store for us??? Well, we are headed to Capitol Area Food Bank for our first service project! Then heading to the Holocaust Museum!!!

Stay Connected - Charlotte to Washington D.C.
We hope that you will stay connected with what our group is doing in the D.C. area during our Alternative Spring Break. Throughout the week students and advisors will be making posts and uploading pictures of our adventures, our service projects and all the other opportunities we will be participating in. We hope that you will also be an active participant in our Blog as well by posing questions and food for thought and by commenting on our postings.
